Himaneji update: Circuit Chips, machine expansion, Build Affordable, and English & Traditional Chinese

Himaneji is a free idle clicker that runs in your browser. You tap machines to make screws, grow a tech tree, and launch rockets to new stars. No download, no login, and it works on phone and PC. We just shipped a big update. Your save carries over.

What's new
Circuit Chips and the Circuit Tree
While you tap rapidly, Circuit Chips now drop on the floor. Tap a chip to pick it up. Each chip is red, blue, green, or yellow, and you spend it in the Circuit Tree (from the top-right menu) on upgrades of the same color.
- Red (Tapping): tap earnings, combo feel
- Blue (Automation): workers, the assembly line
- Green (Factory): expansion, machine and level prices
- Yellow (Luck): Golden Screws, Fever
- Chips drop after you launch your first star (if you have done a Galaxy Rebirth, from the start), on a star where you have unlocked the Rapid-Tap Combo, while you keep a combo of 8 or more. One chip appears every 12 seconds of continuous tapping.
- Chips and upgrades are kept through rebirths and Galaxy Rebirths.
- The upgrades are nice-to-haves. Nothing requires them, so if you prefer to play idle, you will not fall behind.
Machine expansion
Each machine type used to cap at 24. When you reach the cap, the Buy button turns into Expand, and money raises the limit by 2 at a time (up to 48). The cost jumps with every expansion, so it is a late-game money sink. Expansions are kept through rebirths.
Build Affordable
Rebuilding 24 machines after every rebirth was a chore. Each machine row now has a Max button, and when you have two or more machine types, Build Affordable builds everything you can afford, cheapest first.
English and Traditional Chinese
If your browser is set to English, the game starts in English. Traditional Chinese is available too. You can switch languages anytime from the menu (the game saves and reloads).
Achievements
There are now 42 achievements (9 are secret), including new ones for Circuit Chips and expansion.
Fixes
- Boost disappearing: the boost from daily missions used to vanish when you closed and reopened the site, and when you moved to another star. It now keeps its remaining time, ticking down by the clock even while the game is closed, and it carries over between stars.
- Mouse controls on PC: dragging the floor needs a slightly longer drag, so rapid clicking no longer makes the view jump. The view does not coast after you let go. Hovering the floor shows a ring for the area a tap will hit. Opening the tech tree widens the right-hand column.
A note for players
- If Circuit Chips do not appear, check that you have launched a star, that you have unlocked the Rapid-Tap Combo on this star, and that you are tapping continuously (the clock pauses when you stop).
- Expansion prices and Circuit Tree strength will be tuned as we see how people play. We will post here when they change.
